Troop 396

Membership

Boy Scout Troop 396 runs program years from January 31st to January 30th every year.  Your membership automatically expires on these dates if you do not recharter.

Youth joining requirements (from the Boy Scouts of America Youth Application Code 524-406):
Your son can be a Scout if he has completed the fifth grade and is at least 10 years old or is age 11 or has earned the Arrow of Light Award and is at least 10 years old, but has not reached age 18.
  1. Complete the application.
  2. Give the completed application and fees to the Scoutmaster
  3. Secure a copy of the Boy Scout Handbook and complete the joining requriements as listed.
Health information. Please fill out the Annual Health and Medical Record, No. 680-001, found on www.scouting.org/forms and give it to the unit leader.

Adult joining requirements:
  1. Complete the Boy Scouts of America Adult Application (code: 524-501)
  2. Complete the Youth Protection Training on MyScouting (http://www.myscouting.org/)

Additional joining requirements specific to Troop 396:
  1. Review the Troop Handbook found on our Documents and Forms page.
  2. Complete and return the Annual Rate Sheet signed by all Scouts and Adult Scouters in the household.
  3. Submit payment by check made payable to "Troop 396."
